We are looking for a practical and detail-oriented Application Laboratory Technician (m/f/d) to support our team in the Application Engineering department. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and organisation of the laboratory, management of laboratory equipment, conducting test activities, and supporting development and customer projects. You will make an important contribution to efficient laboratory processes and support innovative product development and validation projects.
Job Description
Laboratory Administration
- Maintenance, calibration, updating, and management of laboratory equipment and associated software systems
- Monitoring laboratory inventory and continuous optimisation of stock management
- Specification, procurement, and purchasing of laboratory equipment and consumables
- Management of material stocks and ensuring the availability of required resources
- Support in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (EHS) in cooperation with the EHS department
Laboratory Operations
- Planning, organising, and conducting laboratory tests with various testing devices and facilities
- Careful documentation, analysis, and professional reporting of test results
- Design and manufacture of simple test fixtures, gauges, and aids (CAD knowledge is an advantage)
- Support of Application Engineers in test, verification, and validation activities
Project Support
- Active participation in interdisciplinary project teams
- Planning and execution of verification and validation tests
- Support in the successful implementation of development and customer-oriented projects
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training with a federal certificate as a laboratory technician (specialisations in physics, chemistry, materials science, or comparable) or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
- Experience in handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment and testing facilities in physical and chemical environments
- Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and applicable safety regulations in the laboratory environment
- CAD skills are an advantage
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
