We have successfully expanded our presence in Europe over the last 10 years with locations in the DACH region in Basel (Switzerland), Böblingen and Penzberg (Germany) and are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer for Building Services Engineering Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Sanitary (m/f/d) for our office in Basel.

You will be the direct contact person for our clients and our team in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitary and will be responsible for the design and implementation of supply and piping systems. You are proficient in common standards such as cGMP and can apply them independently and precisely in projects. As a lead engineer, you will not only lead and coordinate the project team but also monitor key project metrics and work with your team on offers, approvals and construction services.

Job Description

• Leadership responsibility for building services engineering teams in life sciences industry projects across all project phases
• Independent concept development, costing, planning and tendering of HVAC trades
• Project supervision during the execution phase for the scope of building services engineering, primarily in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry
• Contact person for our clients on technical matters
• Creation, documentation and evaluation of mass and energy balances
• Preparation of technical documentation for HVAC systems
• Preparation of tender documents and technical bid comparison
• Responsibility for schedules and budget
• Mentoring junior engineers in the HVAC field

Location: Basel. Our office is less than ten minutes from Basel SBB main station and offers flexible options regarding commute and catering. Modern and well-equipped workstations in an open-space concept complete our location.

Qualifications

• Degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering or industrial engineering or training as a technician/master with planning background
• Project experience in implementation of new build and refurbishment projects according to service phases per SIA (+10 years), ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
• Design, calculation and drawing of building services installations according to SIA
• Management of legally compliant documentation for all contract-relevant processes in the project
• High social competence as well as leadership talent and team skills
• Customer orientation and problem-solving ability
• Proactive communication with clients and principals
• Very good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations of FDA / EMA as well as cGMP and their interpretation in projects
• High willingness to travel also outside the DACH region
• Very good German (B2) and English skills (C1)
• Very good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Revit BIM systems and calculation software desirable
