What you can contribute

• Ensure the preparation, operation and restoration of flight equipment: pilot helmet, mask, anti-G suit, survival equipment and life jacket
• Carry out periodic inspections, modification orders and checks of flight equipment
• Troubleshoot, perform repair and maintenance work on flight equipment
• Participate in training modules abroad

What makes you unique

• Federal VET Diploma as a polymechanic, electronics technician or similar training, ideally with some years of experience
• Ability to perform repair and maintenance work on electronic and mechanical equipment
• Good mental and physical resilience, impeccable reputation (position subject to security clearance)
• Good oral knowledge of a second official language and English (level B1)

The Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Centre, the Special Forces Command as well as the Military Police. About 40% of the approximately 2500 employees are employed in civilian roles, from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics. The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
