The Educational Centre Lake Zurich (BZZ) is a cantonal vocational school with locations in Horgen and Stäfa. We train apprentices in the professions of media technology, computer science and childcare and offer commercial training courses. Computer science students attend specialist lessons at BZZ. As a recognised vocational baccalaureate location, we offer the BM orientation in Business and Services, type Business.
We are looking for a vocational school teacher for general education with co-head of subject group ABU from 1 September 2027.
Your tasks
- Teaching general education in the professions of childcare specialist with a focus on children (FaBe) EFZ, media technician EFZ, computer scientist EFZ, 3-5 days depending on employment percentage
- Leading the ABU subject group together with a co-leader
- Participating in the hiring of new teachers
- Further development of ABU at BZZ / implementation of the cantonal school curriculum
- Ensuring the professional quality of ABU
- Collaborating on and/or leading project-related and organisational tasks
- Responsibility for ABU subject group departments and mbA jobs (professional authority)
- Cooperation and regular exchange with other subject group leaders and the head of the Social Professions department
Your profile
- Qualification as a certified vocational school teacher for general education (obA/mbA)
- Teaching experience at secondary level II vocational school
- Confident use of digital media in teaching
- Conceptual and analytical thinking
- Enjoyment of co-leading a subject group and the professional leadership of the ABU team
- High social competence and enjoyment in working with young learners
