Fundraising / Business Development Specialist Climate Education (m/f/d) 80-100% at the locations Zurich, Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg or Reutlingen
Your tasks:
- You take on the key role in foundation and funding fundraising for our education sector – directly contributing to enabling effective climate and sustainability education.
- You actively shape our financing in the DACH region by specifically addressing and inspiring foundations, lottery funds, and public authorities.
- You formulate convincing applications, offers, and contracts that secure our existing and new education projects in the long term.
- You build a strong, trusting network with foundations, family offices, and fund managers in Germany and Switzerland – and continuously develop it further.
- You develop creative and future-proof financing concepts that give new momentum to our offerings and advance myclimate in the education sector.
- You work closely with colleagues from education and corporate partnerships (sales) as well as other stakeholders and connect their perspectives into effective fundraising strategies.
- You analyze key figures, prepare reports, and derive clear recommendations to ensure our projects remain financially solid, transparent, and controllable.
- You open up new business areas, especially in the field of climate protection contributions in the B2B and foundation context, bringing courage, creativity, and innovative strength.
Your profile:
- You have a university degree (ideally a master’s) and further training in NPO/foundation fundraising that strengthens you for this role.
- You bring at least 3 years of fundraising experience in the foundation sector – including visible successes you can be proud of.
- You know the foundation landscape in Germany and Switzerland and move confidently in this environment.
- You understand the German education landscape (schools, vocational training, companies) and can bring this perspective into our projects.
- You have solid knowledge of sustainability and climate protection and ideally experience from related fields.
- You work independently, proactively, and solution-oriented – turning good ideas into tangible results.
- You present yourself clearly, convincingly, and service-oriented and feel comfortable in dynamic, changing environments.
- You speak fluent German and ideally can also communicate well in English or French.
