Process Engineer - Injection Moulding & Plastics Technology (a) 80-100%
MAIN TASKS
You are responsible for central manufacturing processes in plastics processing and develop these professionally for our products and plants. The core of the role is the process engineering design of plastics processes based on simulations as well as their validation through tests and feedback from the plants. Your tasks include in particular:
- Process engineering design and further development of manufacturing processes with a focus on injection moulding as well as other plastics processes
- Management of technology and basic projects for the introduction and further development of our plastics processes
- Technical evaluation and derivation of process engineering requirements for product, material and process changes
- Developing well-founded decision bases including technical feasibility and economic efficiency
- Professional exchange with international production plants as well as structured development and transfer of know-how
PROFILE
We are looking for a person who wants to understand why a process works - and not just that it works. Crucial are technical depth, practical experience in injection moulding and the willingness to independently work on demanding process engineering issues. Additionally, you have the following experience and skills:
- Master's degree in plastics technology or mechanical engineering with a focus on plastics processing (University/ETH/FH)
- Experience in injection moulding and motivation to also familiarise yourself with other plastics processes
- Interest in the process engineering design of plastics processes using simulations, tests and data analyses
- Analytical and structured working method as well as the aspiration to understand technical contexts in detail
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
