Project Manager: GIS, Location: Zurich-Oerlikon

Tasks

As a project manager, you represent the needs of our clients internally and ensure that their processes are digitized. Occasionally, you need to persuade and question existing workflows. Together with the Laixo team, you develop efficient and modern solutions, always within the available project budget and timeline as well as the technical possibilities. In a young company with a lot of room for creativity, you have the opportunity to develop yourself and us further and to shape the project business.

• Leading projects from acquisition through planning and realization to billing
• Responsibility for project content, quality, budget, schedule
• Active collaboration with clients for the targeted implementation of the project
• Consulting on the digitization of processes with our solutions
• Interface between client and development, understanding needs and formulating requirements so that project developments can be implemented efficiently

• Participation in the technical project implementation using the available technical resources efficiently in the GIS and IT environment
• Coordination of all project participants
• Development and establishment of our processes in project implementation
• Active participation in acquisition and/or account management

Requirements

We are looking for a personality who represents our company externally. You are extroverted and open, enjoy communicating, and actively contribute. 

• Initiative and solution-oriented personality with a solid education in the fields of geomatics, geography, computer science, or similar
• Several years of experience in leading projects in application configuration or software development
• Experience working with external clients
• Basic knowledge of agile methods in project management and software development.
• Ability to quickly understand complex problems, map them into processes, and develop creative solutions
• Very good German language skills
• Basic GIS knowledge (terminology, distinction from classical IT, etc.)
• Technical affinity and good IT knowledge

• Good GIS knowledge, especially with Esri products
• Completed training/continuing education in project management
• Experience in acquisition and/or account management

We offer

We offer modern working conditions with a 40-hour week and at least 5 weeks of vacation. Our office is within walking distance from Oerlikon train station. Home office possibility is given.
