Manager of the 50% Capital Gains Tax on Real Estate

Are you interested in estimating the value of real estate? The Federal Act on Spatial Planning charges the cantons with establishing a compensation scheme for the major advantages and disadvantages resulting from planning measures, in particular to tax the capital gains realised by property owners. To fulfil this task, the Jura Territorial Development Service is seeking a scientific collaborator responsible for taxation procedures and questions related to the compensation scheme. You identify the concerned properties, commission and review expert reports, inform stakeholders, draft taxation decisions, handle objections, and take a position on appeals. You collect the tax and manage the 5 LAT compensation fund. You ensure a monitoring and surveillance system to carry out taxation decisions and collect amounts within legal deadlines. You keep up to date with developments in knowledge, practices, and case law on this matter at the national level.

You hold a HE or university degree at master’s level in real estate expertise, architecture, urban planning, geomatics, engineering, or geography, or a training considered equivalent. You have at least two years of professional experience. You are capable of working independently and possess a strong sense of responsibility. Your organisation is structured and methodical, and you demonstrate rigour and efficiency. Your writing skills are distinguished by an excellent ability to synthesise and are combined with strong analytical skills. Your interpersonal skills and sense of communication contribute to the quality of the relationships you maintain with your contacts.

The Land Use Planning Section is part of the Territorial Development Service, which comprises around forty employees.
