As a Finance Intern, you will be able to showcase your skills in service, organisation, and number management in support of our partners and external suppliers.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Consistently providing a professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Participating in the tasks of the income auditor and debtors
• Gathering the necessary reports for daily revenue control, the daily ops pack, and ensuring control by the services (revenue protection, audit, visa)
• Checking daily revenue reports and correcting variances in PMS with various peripheral applications (Silverware, Book4Time)
• Auditing revenues and sending the daily activity report
• Reconciling credit card payments according to standards
• Handling and analysing customer disputes related to credit card debits or pre-authorisations (written/telephone)
• Controlling cash floats for all holders and consistency with Scancoin, monitoring cash fund declaration forms
• Participating in inventories and inventory controls
• Monitoring compliance with internal procedures and implementing training if necessary
• Adhering to all security policies
• Committing to the quality of service, discretion, and absolute honesty
• Maintaining a professional attitude, being cheerful, and staying calm at all times
• Being flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work in another department occasionally
• Respecting ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
• Complying with the department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
• Any other tasks as assigned

• In the 3rd year of apprenticeship or internship as part of training at a hotel school
• Fluency in French and English
• Knowledge of a third language is an asset
• Ability to work in a team
• Motivated and interested in the work
• Flexibility and initiative
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes

Physical requirements of the position:

The intern is seated at their desk. They are required to move around the hotel to perform revenue, cash, and procedure controls.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
