About the role and responsibilities
Are you an expert in electrical systems and want to apply your expertise where it really counts? As a service technician at ABB, you install and assemble state-of-the-art medium and low voltage systems at our customers throughout Switzerland. You ensure that critical infrastructures operate reliably and actively contribute to the energy transition.
The work model for this role is: Field service
This role is part of electrification, service nationwide.
Employment opportunities available in Baden, Morges and Zuzwil.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Installation & commissioning: Assembly and installation of medium and low voltage switchgear at customer sites
- Technical expertise: Performing maintenance, service and repair work on electrical systems
- Quality assurance: Ensuring the highest quality and safety standards in all work
- Customer contact: Direct collaboration with customers and competent on-site advice
- Documentation: Preparation of service reports and technical documentation
- Teamwork: Close cooperation with internal teams and sharing your knowledge with colleagues
Qualifications for the role
Completed training as an electrical installer, electrician or comparable qualification
Solid knowledge in the installation of medium and low voltage systems
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
Driving licence category B and willingness to work throughout Switzerland
Good German and English skills, additional national languages are an advantage
Several years of experience with ABB switchgear, especially with:
Unigear ZS1 (single busbar, double busbar, duplex back-to-back)
ZS8.4
Unisec Air
SafeRing SafePlus Air
Experience in service and customer support
Knowledge in fault analysis and troubleshooting
Teamwork skills and strong communication abilities
