Head Roadman
Technical Office | 80–100 % / Davos Frauenkirch
The Technical Office is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the cantonal roads, as well as hydraulic works and slow mobility in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The cantonal road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 metres high and tunnels up to 3 kilometres long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton conceals in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As an office certified with the Friendly Work Space label, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are particularly important to us. For this reason, we are committed to systematic health management in the company (GSA).
For the road maintenance section in district 5 Davos, we are looking for a Head Roadman from 1st September 2026 or by agreement.
- Management and organisation of a maintenance team as well as active collaboration within the team
- Responsibility for the execution of operational maintenance of the assigned road section as well as monitoring the condition of roads and road facilities
- Organisation and planning of work for summer and winter service
- Organisation of clearance and restoration work after accidents or natural events
- On-call duty (both summer and winter)
- Completed professional apprenticeship in construction
- Further training as a foreman or equivalent professional development
- Manual skills and familiarity with the economical use of devices, machines and materials
- Organisational talent, team spirit, personnel management and handling of administrative tasks (preparation of intervention plans and holidays)
- Good IT skills
- Category C driving licence is an advantage
