Our client, renowned for their expertise in civil engineering, infrastructure and spatial planning, has been supporting ambitious and sustainable projects in Switzerland and internationally for several decades. To strengthen their dynamic and committed team, we are looking for a:

Site Manager – Civil Engineering / T-U Domain

As part of a major infrastructure project, the candidate will have operational responsibility for the T/U domain. They will ensure the technical, organisational and administrative management of the works, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, deadlines, costs and quality standards.

Main tasks

• Overall site management, from preparation to completion, ensuring coordination of technical, administrative and organisational aspects.

• Ensure the representation of the Client on site and monitor compliance with objectives regarding costs, schedule, quality and safety.

• Supervise the economic and contractual monitoring of the project: measurement control, validation of services, analysis of additional works, preparation and processing of supplementary offers.

• Ensure the coordination of the various partners and contractors involved and provide support to the Client in managing interfaces between the different lots.

• Anticipate execution constraints, identify potential deviations and implement necessary corrective measures to ensure smooth progress of the works.

• Ensure progress reporting of the site and contribute to monitoring the project performance indicators.

• Location: Sion / Sierre region, Valais.

Profile sought

• Higher education University of Applied Sciences or ETH in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in managing and monitoring civil engineering projects in Switzerland.

• Strong expertise in road infrastructure, including:

  • road geometry and earthworks;

  • construction and repair of pavements and surfacing;

  • traffic management and maintenance during construction phases;

  • drainage and water sanitation systems;

  • BSA equipment and installations in the road sector;

  • retaining devices and safety equipment;

  • fencing and infrastructure-related landscaping;

  • road signage and markings.

• Proven experience on OFROU projects is essential.

• Excellent knowledge of SIA standards, applicable regulations for road infrastructures as well as OFROU directives, standards and technical documents.

• Demonstrated experience in managing costs, deadlines and contractual services.

• Good command of the Microsoft Office 365 environment.

• Excellent coordination, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact with Clients, representatives, contractors and other stakeholders.

• Autonomy, sense of responsibility, methodical approach, rigour and ability to maintain an overall project vision.

• Professional experience in Switzerland is essential.

• Fluent French, minimum level C1, native French speaker preferred.
