The operating theatre platform is an independent unit that includes all operating theatre areas of the Inselspital and the regional hospitals Aarberg and Riggisberg. The University Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery covers the entire spectrum of this specialty. Our patients are treated in our operating theatres using the most modern therapeutic procedures.
What to expect
- You assist and instrument during operations while adhering to hygiene standards
- You take responsibility for the professional preparation and follow-up of medical-technical equipment
- In addition to working in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, you also assist in orthopaedics/trauma and hand surgery as needed
- You perform location-adapted duties including weekend and on-call service
- You carry out administrative tasks such as operation-specific patient documentation and maintain standards and protocols
- You support students in their daily work
What you bring
- Completed training as a certified operating theatre technician or certified operating theatre nurse HF / FH FA OP
- Expert knowledge in plastic and reconstructive surgery
- Resilient personality with planning and organisational skills, a sense of responsibility and flexibility
