By arrangement we are looking for an initiative, strong leadership and networked thinking personality as a successor for the position
You lead two well-established teams with two team leaders and a total of around sixteen employees. In this key position, you take on the operational and strategic management of the population services and support the department head as direct deputy in managing the entire Department of Population and Security.
Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the Population Services area with the specialist departments City Office, Civil Status and Funeral Office as well as Naturalisation
- Personnel and professional management of the team leaders and employees
- Ensuring a customer-oriented, legally compliant and efficient service operation
- Responsibility for budget, financial planning and resource management
- Support of the department head in operational, organisational and strategic management tasks
- Participation in the strategic further development of the Department of Population and Security as well as taking on cross-departmental leadership and development tasks
- Representation of the department head and management of the department in their absence
Your profile
- Completed commercial training, ideally with professional experience in public administration or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in public administration, preferably in the areas of resident services, citizenship, civil status or funeral services
- Proven leadership competence and experience in the development of employees, teams and processes
- Resilient, decisive and winning personality with strong communication skills
