Your mission

Reporting to the Finance Directorate, you play a key role in the economic and financial management of the HFR. As head of the Management Control department, you support the directorates and departments in their decisions and actively contribute to improving the institution's performance.

In this context, you will:

• lead, support and develop the team of management controllers, promoting autonomy, collaboration and skills development;
• be a key partner for the medical and care departments, the Finance Directorate, the General Directorate and support directorates;
• supervise cost accounting and ensure its quality and compliance with current standards, notably REKOLE;
• ensure the consistency of monthly, quarterly and half-yearly closings and contribute to certifications and audits;
• develop financial analyses and provide management indicators and dashboards to understand trends, anticipate challenges and support decision-making;
• manage and develop processes for reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning;
• contribute to the continuous improvement of management control tools and processes, aiming for simplification, reliability and efficiency;
• supervise financial and performance statistics in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, notably ITAR-K and OFS;
• participate in cross-functional projects and lead working groups within your area of expertise.

Your profile

You are an analytical, structured and solution-oriented individual, capable of taking a step back while remaining close to operational realities.

You have:

• a university or HES degree in business management with a specialisation in management control, a diploma as an expert in finance and controlling, or equivalent training;
• at least 5 years of proven experience in management control, ideally in the healthcare sector;
• a good command of cost accounting, REKOLE standards, budgeting processes and financial management mechanisms;
• a good understanding of tariff issues in the healthcare system;
• experience or a genuine aptitude for team management and development;
• excellent analytical and synthesis skills, combined with clear communication adapted to different audiences;
• a spirit of initiative, a strong solution orientation and the ability to evolve practices;
• fluency in French and good knowledge of German, or vice versa.

Mission

You are part of the Finance Directorate and play a key role in the economic and financial management of the HFR. You lead the Financial Controlling department and support the directorates and departments in their decisions. You also actively contribute to improving the overall performance of the hospital.

Specifically, you will perform the following tasks:

• You lead, support and develop the team of financial controllers and promote their autonomy, collaboration and skills development.
• You are a key partner for the medical and nursing departments, the Finance Directorate, the General Directorate and the support directorates.
• You oversee cost accounting and ensure its quality and compliance with applicable standards, especially REKOLE requirements.
• You ensure the coherence of monthly, quarterly and half-yearly closings and participate in certifications and audits.
• You compile financial analyses, key performance indicators and controlling dashboards to understand developments, anticipate challenges and support decision-making.
• You manage and develop processes for reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• You contribute to the continuous improvement of financial controlling tools and processes in pursuit of simplification, improved reliability and efficiency.
• You monitor financial and performance data in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, notably ITAR_K and BFS.
• You participate in cross-functional projects and lead working groups within your area of expertise.

Qualifications:

• University degree in business administration with a specialisation in financial controlling, federal diploma as an expert in accounting and controlling or equivalent training
• At least 5 years of proven professional experience in financial controlling, ideally in healthcare
• Good knowledge of cost accounting, REKOLE requirements, budgeting processes and financial management mechanisms
• Good understanding of the challenges related to the tariff structure in the healthcare system
• Experience or proven ability in leading and developing teams
• Excellent analytical skills and systemic thinking, clear communication adapted to different audiences
• Initiative, strong solution orientation and ability to implement changes in established practices
• German or French with good knowledge of the other language
