YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Overall responsibility for the operation, governance, and continuous development of global network services (WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls, and perimeter security)
- Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of a global network team and external service providers
- Ensuring a highly available, secure, and high-performance network operation in a 24/7 environment
- Management and monitoring of external service providers including SLA, KPI, contract, and cost management
- Responsibility for incident, problem, change, and service management processes according to ITIL best practices
- Close collaboration with cyber security, architecture, and infrastructure teams to implement security and compliance requirements
- Co-design of the global network strategy and implementation of modernisation initiatives such as SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and network automation
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and network operations, ideally in complex international environments
- Proven leadership experience of global or multiregional teams as well as in managing external partners and service providers
- Solid knowledge of WAN/SD-WAN architectures, firewall and perimeter security services, and large enterprise networks with more than 10,000 users
- Deep technical understanding of network security architectures, routing & switching, highly available networks, as well as cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions
- Good knowledge of service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL) and a structured, pragmatic, and service-oriented working style
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at technical and management levels in an international environment
