Tasks
This is what you can achieve with us:
The children in the class are on the autism spectrum with and without visual impairment and are all taught in a 1:1 setting. The pupils are taught in their offices and spend only short sequences in group settings. You will be supported in the implementation of the lessons by a pedagogical team, for which you will take on the pedagogical leadership.
You plan the level-appropriate lessons according to Curriculum 21 and carry them out together with the team. Individual educational and support plans, which you create, serve as the basis for your teaching. In addition, you supervise the pedagogical team, ensure coordination work and maintain contact with the guardians and external specialist agencies. Administrative tasks such as maintaining the children's files and preparing reports also belong to your area of responsibility. Furthermore, you conduct location discussions, participate in working groups and help organise special weeks.
Requirements
What you bring with you:
You hold an EDK-recognised diploma in School Special Education, a primary teaching certificate or are studying for a Master’s in School Special Education. Ideally, you already have experience teaching pupils on the autism spectrum with challenging behaviour or visually impaired children. You approach challenges, such as those arising from pupils on the autism spectrum (AS) and visual impairments, with the necessary professionalism and calm. You enjoy working with a committed team and contributing to a trusting and supportive atmosphere.
We Offer
What you can look forward to:
Our culture is characterised by appreciation and openness. In your role, you take on a lot of responsibility and receive the corresponding scope for creativity. You work in a motivated and well-coordinated team. The salary is based on the cantonal teacher employment law. Our other employment conditions, aligned with cantonal framework conditions, are also attractive. Regular meetings, supervisions and professional consultations are part of this position.
