The Special Needs School Oberaargau in Langenthal is a special primary school commissioned by the Canton of Bern to educate pupils from kindergarten age up to adulthood with cognitive or multiple impairments. With our diverse educational and therapeutic offerings, we promote the holistic and individual development of our pupils.

Tasks
You will teach and support pupils individually or in pairs according to their individual support plans.
In collaboration with class teachers, therapists, individual support teachers, school assistants and parents, you will accompany the children according to their individual resources and needs.
Participation in the entire support team, attending meetings, internal training sessions, conducting progress discussions, as well as co-organising school events and project weeks complement your varied range of duties. We look forward to your active involvement in school development processes.
Requirements
You hold a teaching diploma. You have completed or are training in school special needs education. Planning support in a special primary school is your area of expertise. Noticing small and large learning progress is one of your strengths. Supported communication is an important part of your teaching. A respectful and clear approach to pupils characterises your actions.
You enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration within the team and the level. Patience, resilience, flexibility and a touch of humour distinguish you. You have good ICT skills in Microsoft 365 and quickly learn to use our school software.
