Belonging to the Berest group, Gifthüttli is one of the best-known and most traditional restaurants in the centre of Basel. With its rustic wooden interior, artistic ornamentation and decorative drinking sayings, the venue exudes the atmosphere of a typical Basel "Baiz". Its culinary attractions include dishes from the old Basel cuisine as well as Cordon Bleu in various versions. The restaurant on the ground floor offers space for around 70 guests; the elegant "Weinstube" on the first floor with its approximately 50 seats is an à la carte restaurant for discerning tastes with an attractive wine selection. It is ideal for invitations, family events, business meals or a romantic dinner for two. In summer, the boulevard restaurant in the heart of the Grossbasel old town with 60 seats is the right place to meet friends and colleagues or, as they say in Basel, "ein go schnappe".

Your core task:

In this role, you are responsible together with your team for the preparation of regional and seasonal dishes of the highest quality.

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed your training as a cook and have already gained several years of experience in an establishment.
• Your love and enthusiasm for the profession are evident in your daily work, characterised by a high degree of independence, good organisation and a strong awareness of quality.
• You are accustomed to clean, structured work and enjoy delighting guests culinarily as part of a team.
• Your strengths include pronounced social skills, and communication in spoken and written German and French is an advantage.
