The Directorate of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.vd.zh.ch) oversees the Office for Labor, the Office for Economy, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV).
The Office for Labor (AFA), with around 900 employees at 20 locations, contributes to strengthening the Zurich location in the interest of employees and employers.
The Department of Labor Market Measures (AMM) offers individual coaching for highly qualified and skilled workers aged 40+ as well as the program for temporary employment for highly qualified individuals (PvB HQ).
Starting July 2026 or by agreement, it is looking for a committed and consensus-oriented leader with a strong competence-oriented coaching, quality, and educational understanding for the Individual Coaching offer (HQ; professionals 40+).
Your tasks:
- Leadership of 9 coaches from the labor integration area
- Leading and developing employees, as well as professional support in challenging coaching situations
- Team & culture development; promoting a strong team climate, identifying development needs, and implementing joint learning and exchange formats
- Quality & professional standards; ensuring and further developing quality and process standards for coaching and administrative procedures; ensuring a professional and effective coaching offer with a focus on promoting the application skills of the coachees
- Strategy & collaboration: participation in strategy and development processes at the department level and active cooperation with stakeholders, especially the RAV in the Canton of Zurich
- Continuous development as a leader & coach
Your profile:
- Leadership experience in a comparable position
- Higher professional qualification (FH, HF) and coaching training at DAS level
- Proven professional experience as a coach
- Experience in designing competence-oriented educational processes
- Experience in quality and stakeholder management
- Affinity for digital learning and contemporary learning methods
- Passion and knowledge of developments and trends in the labor market
- Engaging, communicative, and result-oriented personality with confident German and very good English skills
