Are you a meticulous finance professional passionate about investment accounting? Debiopharm International SA is seeking a Private Investment Accountant to manage the accounting and financial integrity of our private investment companies.
Private Investment Accountant
Permanent position, full-time | Location: Lausanne, Switzerland
Summary of responsibilities
The "Private Investment Accountant" is responsible for the complete accounting (including closings) of the group companies active in asset management, in strict compliance with legal and tax standards.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Accounting operations: Complete accounting of asset management companies (financial investments and real estate portfolio) and preparation of the group’s annual consolidation report.
- Accounting closings: Ensure quarterly and annual financial closings with report preparation (including for auditors), and liaise with auditors.
- Ad hoc reporting: Generate reports on request to support decision-making.
- Tax work: Prepare tax declarations (VAT, tax returns).
- Process optimisation: Propose improvements and adjust accounting processes.
- Team support: Provide flexible and occasional support to the accounting team of other group companies as needed.
Desired profile
- Accounting diploma, Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting or similar.
- Strong experience in investment accounting (financial and real estate).
- Collaboration with property management companies.
- Proven experience in accounting according to the Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Proficiency with IT tools (accounting software and Excel).
- Methodical and structured approach with a high degree of accuracy and an analytical mind.
- Team spirit, flexible and positive personality, with a service-oriented and continuous improvement attitude.
- Ability to work independently in managing files and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French, with basic knowledge of English.
- Strict respect for confidentiality.
