Team and Responsibilities
As a key member of the leadership team at BLACKROLL, this role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for leading the organization in Europe and EMEA – focusing on market expansion, B2B growth, and the establishment and development of sales channels in wholesale, medical professionals and clinics, physiotherapy practices, fitness studios, trade partners, distributors, and potential strategic channels such as professional sports teams and organizations.
With full P&L responsibility and a solid understanding of end customers and consumers, the person in this role develops and implements the appropriate sales strategy – differentiated by territories, regions, and countries.
A particular focus is on tapping into new markets and business partners as well as strategically expanding existing accounts to ensure strong performance.
The location of this role is flexible (Switzerland or the Netherlands). However, the willingness to travel extensively and to visit the BLACKROLL headquarters in Bottighofen, Switzerland, monthly is a prerequisite.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You take on a visionary leadership role and set the strategic direction for the global wholesale business – with the goal of realizing BLACKROLL's ambitious growth plans.
- You develop short-, medium-, and long-term strategic goals for all business areas.
- You ensure that all growth and change strategies are communicated clearly and effectively to all stakeholders within the brand.
- You build the wholesale structure for Europe/EMEA, lead, coach, and further develop the existing team to build a strong, high-performing business.
- You establish a positive, collaborative, and entrepreneurial work culture that fosters creative commercial thinking and innovation – across existing and new product categories, accounts, and markets.
- Together with relevant stakeholders, you create the necessary structures, tools, and frameworks for the sales team to achieve its performance goals.
- You actively contribute your market knowledge to product assortment and marketing strategies – always with a focus on consumers and differentiated by market.
- In close coordination with the CEO and the Head of People & Culture, you structurally develop the wholesale organization and actively shape succession planning along performance and growth.
- You develop measurable sales targets, regularly review commercial performance in each market, and communicate transparently to all relevant stakeholders.
- You act as a brand ambassador, embody the brand values, and are present on-site to develop new business opportunities, build new customer relationships, and maintain existing partnerships in each market.
Your Profile
- You are currently a hands-on, dynamic, and entrepreneurial-minded Sales Director or General Manager (or in a comparable role) in the sports, lifestyle, or health & wellbeing industry.
- You are a true door opener, present with natural authority, and have proven experience in leading and scaling revenue structures across multiple markets – ideally on a global level.
- You have already identified new growth opportunities and successfully built new markets and accounts.
- You bring a strong combination of strategic foresight and operational execution – you develop global sales plans and implement them with full commitment.
- You always act customer- and consumer-oriented, have a high affinity for products, and understand current market and channel trends.
- You work collaboratively, lead with conviction, and bring excellent skills in team building, relationship management, and responsible decision-making.
- You see yourself as a chance creator and initiator, who likes to question the status quo and explore new paths with fresh ideas.
- You possess pronounced skills in constructive influence, problem-solving, and navigating complex situations.
- You are culturally adaptable and bring the mental agility to quickly adjust to new circumstances.
