Project Manager Specialist Unit Innovation Park 80 - 100%In the interest of employees and companies, the Office for Economy (AWI) of the Canton of Zurich contributes to strengthening the economic location Zurich. With its approximately 100 employees, AWI bundles economic competencies and houses the areas of location promotion, work permits, labour relations, labour inspectorate, and economics.
The newly established Specialist Unit Innovation Park Zurich IPZ forms the interface between the Innovation Park Zurich Foundation and the Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich. It is responsible for the tasks at this interface, coordinates cantonal projects, and actively advocates for the topic of "economic spaces" as a location factor throughout the canton to specifically support companies in expansion, development, and new settlement. The new specialist unit is part of AWI and is staffed by the head of the office and professionally led by the co-management of location promotion.
As part of the IPZ specialist unit, we are looking for a versatile and experienced project manager with experience in entrepreneurship and the private sector to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your main tasks:
- Accompanying and coordinating settlement projects of international companies in the Canton of Zurich with a focus on integration into the Innovation Park Zurich
- Supporting local companies in their site evaluation and expansion plans
- Deputising for the management of the "Specialist Unit IPZ"
- Participating in the implementation of the economic space concept.
- Close collaboration and coordination within the team and with the network partners of location promotion
Your profile:
- University degree (Uni/ETH/FH) with a Master’s in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of successful professional experience in supporting investor and/or settlement projects
- Understanding of business processes as well as international and networked thinking
- Strong service orientation and enjoyment in developing networks
- Proven communication skills appropriate to the level, including with company management functions and key stakeholders
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with high personal responsibility
- Confident German and English, spoken and written
