About the job
Future-proof software architecture, secure-by-design, and the responsible handling of business-critical legacy infrastructures are your professional DNA? For an established Swiss tech organisation, we are seeking an experienced individual for the technological architecture of complex system landscapes. You manage the entire architecture process, navigate projects safely through security and compliance reviews, and act as a strategic sparring partner for management and specialist departments. In addition to the interdisciplinary coordination of development teams, cloud specialists, and IT security, you shape the technological direction of the company and combine architectural excellence with a clear implementation focus.
- Strategic guidelines & roadmaps: You define target architectures, technical roadmaps, and architectural principles for the company.
- Technology evaluation & innovation: You evaluate forward-looking technologies in the areas of cloud, automation, and AI/ML and support proofs of concept (PoCs), MVPs, and technical prototypes.
- Integration & interface design: You create seamless interfaces between in-house developments, standard software, cloud services, and external partner platforms.
- Technical leadership & enablement: You support agile development teams in implementing architectural requirements, accompany technical decisions, and, if necessary, contribute hands-on to prototypes.
- Governance & security: You work closely with IT security, risk, and infrastructure teams to consistently implement secure-by-design principles, data protection, and compliance requirements.
- Technological background: Very good knowledge of the Java ecosystem (especially Spring Boot) as well as experience with modern software and integration architectures (microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging via Kafka).
- Frontend & infrastructure: Familiarity with container technologies, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React) is an advantage.
- Security & compliance: Strong understanding of IT security, secure-by-design, and regulatory frameworks.
- Working style & personality: Strong analytical and conceptual skills, solution-oriented mentality, experience in an agile environment, and strong communication skills at all hierarchy levels.
- Languages: Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Work environment: A centrally located, excellently connected workplace with dedicated parking spaces and modern infrastructure.
- Corporate culture: An agile, innovative working environment with flat hierarchies, an open feedback culture, and targeted development opportunities.
