About the job

The Wetzikon School
is one of the largest primary schools in the Zurich Oberland and is easily accessible by public transport. Every day, more than 500 motivated teachers and specialists in ten schools dedicate themselves to the education of children and young people, ensuring they are fit for the future. Are you looking for a position where you can fully focus on speech therapy work with children? Then you are exactly right with us! In our newly established "Therapies Specialist Team of the Wetzikon School" you will find an exciting role with plenty of creative scope. You will conduct assessments, provide therapeutic support to children in individual or group settings, advise parents and teachers, and implement your own ideas for therapy, prevention and language promotion. What do you bring? A diploma in speech therapy (recognised by the EDK or willingness to obtain it), enjoyment in supporting children with special needs as well as mainstream school children, openness to different cultures, and a communicative, responsible and independent manner.

You will receive
The cross-school Therapies Specialist Team meets regularly and you will always find the necessary support there. A mentor or your local job partner will accompany you and help you find your way around. You will benefit from regular professional exchanges, intervisions and the combined knowledge of an experienced team. Additionally, you will be supported by your supervisor, the head of the Therapies department, who is herself a speech therapy professional. A well-equipped therapy room centrally located in the school building as well as modern aids such as diverse learning software (from AudioLog to Zabulo) and iPads with a steadily growing collection of apps make your work varied, exciting and effective.

Once a year, an internal training day on speech therapy topics is organised, and a budget for individual further training is also available. You can find out which other advantages speak for us here.
