About the job
Your Tasks
- You independently care for patients in shifts from the entire spectrum of interdisciplinary acute and emergency medicine, from outpatient emergency care to the treatment of critically ill patients.
- Your area of work includes both the emergency department and the integrated emergency practice. According to your experience, you will increasingly take responsibility for the independent assessment, diagnosis and treatment of our emergency patients.
- You have the opportunity to specifically develop your practical skills – including in emergency sonography, shock room management, as well as NIV and high-flow therapy.
- Experienced senior medical supervision is guaranteed on site 24 hours a day. At the same time, we expect a willingness to take responsibility, actively shape clinical decisions and engage in the demanding emergency routine.
- You will become part of a highly committed, interprofessional team and work closely with the various specialist disciplines of the Cantonal Hospital Aarau. Active participation in our structured training and an interest in personal and professional development are naturally part of our expectations.
Your Profile
- You have at least two years of clinical professional experience as an assistant physician at an acute hospital in Switzerland, preferably in general internal medicine, surgery or anaesthesiology.
- You have a particular interest in emergency medicine and are ideally already in training for the focus "Clinical Emergency Medicine SGNOR" or wish to pursue this.
- You are resilient, flexible and maintain an overview and the necessary prioritisation skills even in a dynamic emergency operation.
- Good ultrasound skills are an advantage; above all, we expect interest and motivation to continuously develop your emergency medical skills.
- You are a committed and team-oriented personality and enjoy actively contributing to our highly motivated, collegial and interprofessional team.
- You have excellent German language skills, both spoken and written. For foreign medical diplomas, we require the corresponding MEBEKO recognition.
