About the job
The professional guardianship is part of a diverse range of services offered by the Social Counselling Centre Willisau-Wiggertal (SoBZ Willisau-Wiggertal). Currently, the SoBZ is undergoing change and will, in the medium term, offer services at two locations, Dagmersellen and Willisau.
Are you ready to take this path with us as a guardian? For the additionally created percentage positions, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a GUARDIAN / CHILD PROTECTION GUARDIAN | 70–100 %
As a guardian, you will carry out child protection measures on behalf of the KESB and accompany, advise, and represent children and young people. In doing so, you work closely with parents, the family system, specialist agencies, and authorities and advocate for the welfare and rights of children and young people. You will be supported in administrative tasks by our clerical staff. You are part of a committed team that jointly stands for high-quality child protection.
Here you take responsibility
- Independent management of child protection mandates according to KESB assignment as well as accompaniment and representation of children and young people.
- Advising children, young people, and parents as well as collaborating with family systems, specialist agencies, and authorities.
- Professional handling of crises, family conflicts, and differing expectations.
- Representation of the interests and rights of children and young people, taking their wishes into account.
- Preparation of reports and statements as well as efficient completion of administrative tasks.
You bring with you
- Tertiary degree in social work or a comparable field; experience in child protection and CAS Child Protection/Mandate Management is an advantage.
- Understanding of the living environments and developmental conditions of children and young people and their family systems.
- High social competence and confidence in dealing with children, young people, and stressed family systems.
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and professional handling of crises and conflicts.
- Structured, independent working style and skillfulness in writing reports and statements.
