To strengthen the department "Network & Security" in the Information Technology Center (ITZ), we are looking for a:
Senior Network Security Engineer 80% (m/f/d)
These activities excite you:
- You are responsible for the architecture and operation of all network security systems (firewalls, IPS, VPN gateways, or network access control)
- You maintain security policies for firewalls and access control and implement corresponding changes
- You define the associated operational processes and are responsible for their implementation
- You maintain operational documentation and train your colleagues
- You conduct risk analyses, identify potential vulnerabilities, and propose countermeasures
- You renew and supplement our security architecture and resolve disruptions as part of 2nd-level support during our office hours
- You coordinate and lead external employees
- You avoid repetitive tasks and prefer their automation
Your qualifications enrich our team:
- Networked thinking and enjoyment in finding solutions to technical tasks
- In-depth network knowledge and several years of experience in operating enterprise firewalls
- A professional-level certification from Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point
- A degree from a university of applied sciences in IT or equivalent professional experience
- Clear and open communication (German and English), confident written expression
