The Early Childhood Service works daily for the well-being and development of children aged 0 to 4 years. Within the VéloRouge nursery, which welcomes 32 children in multi-age groups, we place discovery, fulfilment, and respect for the child’s rhythm at the heart of our support.

As part of a maternity leave replacement, the Early Childhood Service is looking for a:

Childcare Educator (M/F)

Fixed-term contract at 80% (Friday off) - Grade 11

Mission:

• Take responsibility for the daily reception and supervision of the children;
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of the children while supporting them in the rules of communal living;
• Participate in the child’s development by offering varied activities;
• Personalise the reception of families and support parental functions;
• Observe and care for children experiencing temporary or specific difficulties, in liaison with parents and networks;
• Participate in team meetings fortnightly at the end of the day or in the evening; initiate various projects and ensure their design and implementation;
• Contribute to the creation of a warm and family-like living environment;
• Participate in the organisation of institutional and/or service celebrations;
• Organise outings throughout the year.

Your profile:

• You hold a recognised Childcare Educator diploma;
• You are creative, bringing ideas for activities leading the child to multiple discoveries;
• You have a strong interest in educational projects related to nature;
• You have good skills in writing reports, minutes, and frameworks for meetings with families;
• You are dynamic and motivated to work for a municipal service;
• You are ready to invest yourself in a living space designed for multi-age reception and to develop a new way of working within a multidisciplinary team;
• You adhere to our values of respecting the individual rhythm of the child, supporting parenting, and dialogue.
