The Schönburg group practice in Bern is an established, centrally located practice focusing on general medical as well as gynaecological and obstetric primary care.
Our multicultural team consists of two general practitioners, two gynaecologists (including a mentor/specialist), an endocrinologist and a nutritionist, who work closely together. This interdisciplinary setup ensures diverse professional expertise and a pleasant, supportive working atmosphere.

The practice has an existing patient base, enabling immediate, varied activity. Modern infrastructure, an in-house laboratory and a dedicated practice team support you in your work and create a professional and motivating working environment in the centre of Bern.

A special feature of this position is the possibility to combine outpatient work in the practice with a low-percentage inpatient activity at the University Hospital Bern – according to your preference. This model offers professional variety, clear structures and at the same time high flexibility.

Workload: 40–100%, outpatient; optional attending physician activity at the University Hospital Bern

Job Description

• Independent outpatient gynaecological and obstetric activity in the group practice
• Responsible management of the consultation with high medical autonomy
• Long-term care of the existing patient base
• No practice duties, no night or weekend duties in the outpatient area
• Referral of births and surgical procedures as desired
• Optional: inpatient, surgical and/or obstetric activity at the University Hospital Bern
• Conducting specialist consultations according to interest and qualification
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration within the team and with external specialist centres

Qualifications

• Specialist title in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FMH or MEBEKO recognised)
• Experience in the outpatient sector is an advantage; inpatient or surgical experience not mandatory
• Independent, structured and patient-oriented working style
• Teamwork skills, sense of responsibility and communicative manner
• Interest in long-term activity in a multicultural, collegial practice environment
