About the job
Metal construction practitioners specialising in forging technology learn to handle various metals with regard to their shaping. Using large presses and forging hammers, they deform glowing metals into blanks, which, after mechanical processing, are used in machine, aircraft, railway and vehicle construction as well as in medical technology and the chemical industry.Your activities and areas of responsibility:
3 Reading, understanding and applying technical documents and tool drawings
3 Determining work steps and selecting suitable work equipment and methods
3 Organising the workplace and setting up forging machines
3 Carrying out hand forging work at the anvil
3 Operating forging machines
3 Monitoring the forging process
3 Conducting quality controls
3 Assessing work results
3 Creating technical documents
Requirements:

3 Technical understanding
3 Spatial imagination
Good to know:
3 Duration of apprenticeship: 2 years
