Full-time
As a Sales Engineer, you support our customers in their automation and digitalization projects. You identify opportunities in the market, develop suitable solutions, and accompany them from the first conversation to the offer. Together with the team, you turn ideas into concepts, create calculations, and present solutions. In doing so, you act as an interface between customers, sales, and engineering and provide valuable feedback for our portfolio.
Your tasks:
- Opportunity Management: Identify, qualify, and develop leads in existing and new accounts (focus CH).
- Solution Selling: Capture requirements (URS), advise on automation, EI&C, OT/MES, and digitalization – from brownfield retrofit to greenfield CAPEX.
- Offers & Calculations: Develop solution concepts, bills of materials/scopes, effort/cost estimates, offer documents, and presentations together with engineering and our sales team.
- Internal interface: Feedback from the market into the portfolio (DCS/PLC/SCADA, Safety, Instrumentation, OT networks, MES, Historian/Analytics)
- Project management in early project phases (feasibility studies and concept design)
- Consulting on automation and digitalization questions for our customers
Your profile:
- Completed technical training or studies (automation, electrical/EI&C, process engineering or similar).
- Several years of experience in solution sales/pre-sales for automation/EI&C/OT or in the technical project environment of the process industry.
- Knowledge in DCS/PLC/SCADA, Safety/ATEX, instrumentation; ideally GxP/GMP, MES/OT integration, data historian/analytics.
- Experienced in structured capture of customer requirements as well as in creating well-founded calculations and convincing offers
- Proficient in using CRM systems.
- Strong communication skills, reliable, goal-oriented with enjoyment of customer contact.
- Fluent German and English skills
- Flexible for travel as required
