What you develop:
Within our design office dedicated to Ground Equipment and Launchers, you manage various mechanical projects, from defining the requirements to commissioning the equipment.
Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions that meet the needs and specifications of our clients, in close collaboration with the various relevant trades.
Analyse the context and requirements, define architectures and carry out the preliminary sizing calculations necessary to justify technical choices.
Take charge of detailed design, constructive and regulatory aspects, as well as preparing manufacturing documentation.
Integrate constraints related to manufacturing processes, machining, boiler making and welding, seeking the best compromise between performance, robustness, cost and lead time.
Write technical documentation and ensure follow-up of the realisation with our partners and suppliers.
Draft technical proposals integrated into our commercial offers.
Actively participate in technical reviews and progress meetings, both internally and with our clients.
What you bring:
You hold an engineering degree in mechanical, mechatronics, microtechnology, HES/EPF or equivalent (Master's level).
You have at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design of machines, industrial equipment and/or welded mechanical structures.
You master the entire development cycle of mechanical equipment, from needs analysis to manufacturing documentation and follow-up of realisation.
You have excellent knowledge in mechanical design, boiler making, machining, manufacturing techniques and welding.
You have a systems approach and are comfortable with multidisciplinary technical issues as well as managing interfaces between trades.
You know how to take a high-level view of a problem while being able to delve into technical details when necessary.
You are capable of analysing a complex issue, proposing pragmatic solutions and defending your technical choices.
You are autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented, with a good sense of priorities and responsibilities.
You are proficient in a 3D design software, ideally CATIA V5.
You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, and comfortable exchanging and defending your technical solutions in both languages.
Knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics is an asset.
You are willing to occasionally work on different client sites, in Switzerland and abroad.
