Company Description
Market leader in high-tech façades and metal construction in Switzerland with over 550 employees, Sottas SA is a reliable family business at the cutting edge of technology, placing people at the centre.
We are recognised for our know-how and our commitment to high standards in terms of quality, deadlines, safety, and sustainable development.
Job Description
We are looking for a Facility Manager to ensure the operational management of General Services (facility management) and guarantee the proper functioning of our buildings and infrastructures at our two sites in Bulle and Denges. Your activity will be mainly based in Bulle.
Reporting to the Shared Services Director, you are responsible for organising activities, supervising the team, and coordinating interventions. You also actively participate in the operational tasks of building maintenance and operation. You ensure the proper functioning of installations, the quality of services, and the safety of infrastructures, in collaboration with the Maintenance department for specific technical aspects.
Your main responsibilities:
Team management: organise and distribute tasks, define priorities, supervise employees, and control work quality.
Building maintenance: identify needs, plan and coordinate civil engineering and painting works, monitor their completion, and carry out final inspections.
Operational work: directly perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, adjustments, and interventions necessary for the proper functioning of buildings and infrastructures.
Technical building monitoring (BMS): ensure the proper functioning of building installations, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary facilities, water, and gas. Work closely with the Maintenance department to organise interventions and follow up on technical issues.
Service and event management: coordinate cleaning, manage consumables and waste, organise internal arrangements and relocations, as well as event logistics. Participate in the maintenance of outdoor areas and snow clearance.
Security and access management: manage key and access programming, ensure building opening and closing, and report anomalies.
Intervention follow-up and continuous improvement: handle requests via GLPI, plan interventions, ensure their follow-up in dedicated tools, introduce necessary resources for planning (CMMS), and propose improvements.
Multi-site coordination: organise activities and ensure the smooth running of the service at the company’s two sites (Bulle and Denges).
Qualifications
You are a hands-on, organised, and autonomous person who enjoys both team coordination and solving practical problems. Thanks to your versatility and technical skills, you can manage several priorities simultaneously and find solutions adapted to the company’s needs.
The following skills are required:
- A Federal VET Diploma in building operation, maintenance, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical training
- A federal certificate related to building maintenance: a real asset
- Proven experience in building and technical installation operation and maintenance
- Experience in team supervision and contractor coordination
- Good technical knowledge of buildings and applicable safety regulations
- Comfort with IT tools, especially GLPI and CMMS tools
- Strong organisational, planning, and priority management skills
- A strong sense of responsibility, service, and collaboration
- Responsiveness, flexibility, and a solution-oriented mindset
