In this key position, you have the opportunity to contribute your expertise in a creative and collegial environment and actively shape the IT security of our university.

You will be excited by these tasks:

• You are responsible for the architecture and operation of all network security systems (firewalls, IPS, VPN gateways, or Network Access Control)You maintain security policies for firewalls and access control and implement the corresponding changes
• You define the associated operational processes and are responsible for their implementation
• You maintain the operational documentation and train your colleagues
• You conduct risk analyses, identify potential vulnerabilities, and propose countermeasures
• You renew and supplement our security architecture and resolve disruptions within the scope of 2nd-level support during our office hours
• You coordinate and lead external employees
• You avoid repetitive tasks and prefer their automation

Your qualifications enrich our team:

• in-depth network knowledge and several years of experience operating enterprise firewalls
• a professional-level certification from Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point
• a university of applied sciences degree in IT or equivalent professional experience
