University/HES Master Intern in Actuarial Sciences - Pensions (m/f/x) - 100%

To strengthen our main Underwriting & Pricing Division, we are looking for a Master’s student intern for a 6-month period starting February 2027 in Lausanne.

As part of this internship, the intern will be required to develop a simulation tool in Python to perform Profit Testing of several individual life insurance products, in order to assess their profitability.

The work notably includes product analysis (calculation of premiums, benefits and reserves), generalisation of actuarial models for Profit Testing, and Python development.

The tasks awaiting you:

• Perform Profit Testing of a unit-linked life insurance, a withdrawal plan and a death risk insurance
• Propose solutions to select and manage a portfolio of reference contracts, the actuarial tariff and model parameters
• Generalise and complete the existing Python code by applying Vaudoise’s target model and respecting the S.O.L.I.D. principles
• Develop a graphical interface (FLASK Framework) to select contracts, tariff and parameters, launch the calculation and display results

Your profile:

• You are currently enrolled in an academic programme (University Master’s or University of Applied Sciences)
• You have excellent skills in mathematics
• You have very good knowledge of Python programming
• You have knowledge of VBA, GitHub Copilot and the GIT version control system
• Fluency in French (C1), good knowledge of English and German (B1) are an asset
• You enjoy teamwork
• You are organised, able to set priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
