Your Responsibilities
The incumbent assumes the academic and operational leadership of an institute in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation and organisational development. He/she contributes to strengthening applied research, developing interdisciplinary initiatives and anchoring HSW-FR in its economic, institutional and academic environment.
- Developing and positioning the institute’s activities in line with HSW-FR’s strategic priorities and the needs of its environment
- Structuring and actively developing the institute in key subject areas of a business university
- Initiating, acquiring and managing projects in applied research and mandates, especially with third-party funding
- Strengthening the scientific quality, impact and visibility of the institute’s activities, particularly through publications, improving our KPIs and knowledge transfer
- Contributing to the development of the new research organisation through clear, collaborative and adaptable governance and optimal team coordination
- Strengthening the link between research, teaching and practical requirements, especially by integrating the institute’s topics into Bachelor, Master and continuing education programmes
- Designing and delivering practice-oriented teaching in Bachelor, Master and continuing education programmes
Desired Profile
- Doctorate in a relevant field, for example strategic management, operational management or logistics
- Proven experience in applied research, third-party funding acquisition, project management and collaboration with external partners
- Good knowledge of challenges related to entrepreneurship, innovation and organisational development, including companies of various sizes as well as public, social institutions or umbrella organisations
- Demonstrated experience in acquiring and managing external funds
- Ability to gradually develop a vision within an agile approach, bringing teams together and establishing collaborative governance
- Experience in tertiary-level teaching and strong interest in linking teaching, applied research, services and knowledge transfer
- Network in academic, economic or institutional fields
- Proficiency in German or French with very good knowledge of the other language
Additional Information
- Mandate of 4 years, extendable, in the role of full Professor FH.
- This mandate is linked to a permanent employment contract in the role of associate Professor FH.
