The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. For the Quality and Risk Service of the General Management, we are looking for:

a Data Manager (80-100%)

Purpose of the role:

Contribute to the management, quality, and enhancement of data within the activities of the Quality and Risk Service, promoting its use for monitoring and continuous improvement of the quality and safety of care.

Ensure the management of data related to national, international, and internal health registries and provide support, through data, indicators, and analyses, to quality activities, risk management, and, for areas of competence, clinical governance.

Main activities:

• Manage data related to national, international, and internal health registries under the responsibility of the Quality and Risk Service, ensuring quality, completeness, and traceability.
• Organise and optimise data collection, validation, and management processes, promoting automation where possible.
• Process and analyse data and indicators related to the quality and safety of care, contributing to the creation of reports, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
• Support, through data and analyses, projects for improving quality and patient safety and, for areas of competence, clinical governance activities.
• Collaborate with clinical professionals and other company functions in defining and developing indicators and monitoring tools.
• Participate, for areas of competence, in audits, certifications, and other verification activities.

Skills and professional experience:

• Academic training (health, economic, statistical disciplines or related) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in data management, processing, and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of statistics.
• Good IT skills in data management and analysis.
• Ability to understand complex processes and translate clinical and organisational needs into information requirements.
• Experience in the healthcare and hospital sector and/or in managing health registries is a plus.
• Knowledge of national languages and English is desirable.
