Specialist Medical Director Outpatient Psychiatry (m/f/d)

Role:

In this role, you will take on the specialist medical leadership of outpatient psychiatric care and significantly shape diagnostic and therapeutic processes. You are responsible for the case management of complex psychiatric disorders and ensure high-quality, guideline-compliant care. Additionally, you coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration and provide professional guidance for medical and therapeutic colleagues. Another focus lies in the continuous development of treatment concepts and ensuring efficient processes. You bring your several years of experience as a specialist physician to advance outpatient psychiatry medically and structurally.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you assume the professional and organisational leadership of the outpatient psychiatric department, including interventional procedures (ECT, rTMS, TPS, Esketamine treatment).
• You lead and supervise an interprofessional team of doctors, psychologists, and other specialists.
• As the specialist medical director, you independently conduct outpatient diagnostics and treatment across the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders.
• You share responsibility for the strategic development of outpatient psychiatric care and represent the chief physician in selected matters.
• In this role, you engage in quality development, further education, and clinical projects.
• You maintain close collaboration with inpatient services, private practitioners, general practitioners, and other network partners.

Qualifications:

• You hold a specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy FMH or a recognised MEBEKO equivalent.
• You have several years of clinical experience in outpatient psychiatric care.
• You demonstrate solid leadership and management skills or corresponding leadership experience.
• You value interprofessional collaboration and are keen to engage in cross-organisational networking.
• You convince with high social competence, clear decisiveness, and a strong patient orientation.
• You are interested in innovation, care development, and wish to actively shape strategic development.
