In this key position, you will shape the sustainable energy production of tomorrow. You lead around 700 employees and are responsible for the strategic development and operation in the field of hydropower and biomass at Axpo. As Head Division Hydro & Biomass, you are also a member of the Management Board of Axpo's largest business unit, Generation & Distribution.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the Hydro & Biomass division with a focus on safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of hydropower and biomass plants
- Responsible for cost-optimized maintenance and renewal of hydropower and biomass plants as well as initiation and implementation of new construction projects
- Development of long-term strategies including concession renewals and investment decisions
- Representation of Axpo in national committees, associations, and boards of directors
- Expansion of existing services for third parties
- Promotion of digitalization and continuous efficiency improvement
Profile & Requirements
- University degree in engineering, supplemented by business management training or MBA
- Qualified leadership experience in complex organizations and/or in the energy sector
- Experience with operation, planning, and construction of hydropower plants and biomass facilities
- High analytical competence and experience in strategic planning
- Successful implementation of change management processes and modern leadership structures
- Very good German and English skills, French is an advantage
