A Head Waiter/Waitress
To complete our teams for the summer 2026 season, Thyon is looking for its "Catering" department:
Your tasks:
- Manage the dining room staff;
- Manage and develop customer relations;
- Actively participate in service;
- Anticipate attendance based on various factors: weather, holidays, weekends...;
- Welcome and greet customers during service;
- Contribute to the organization of events/receptions;
Activities under the responsibility of the Manager are:
- Lead the pre-service briefing and handover instructions in the absence of superiors;
- Directly intervene in one of the service activities in case of occasional overload;
- Handle reservations and prepare the seating plan;
- Distribute tasks related to dining room service according to staff and expected clientele;
- Supply and manage drinks and supplies necessary for service;
- Ensure special services (banquet, buffet,...);
- Perform inventory and distribute daily and periodic tasks;
- Welcome and integrate new staff;
- Ensure coordination with the kitchen.
Your profile:
- Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a catering specialist or equivalent training;
- At least 6 years of similar experience;
- Knowledge of CCNT, HACCP, FIFO;
- Proficiency in standard and specialized computer tools;
- Language skills: French and English, another language is an asset.
- Impeccable presentation;
- Good stress management;
- Recognized management skills;
- Good listening and communication skills;
- Positive attitude and good dynamics within the restaurant.
Start date: Summer season 2026 (from June to September)
