What you can look forward to.
Do you want to take on a responsible role in an innovative and safety-critical environment? Then you are exactly right with us. In this role, you make a significant contribution to the safety of employees working on electrified railway systems. You will develop step by step into a specialist for earthing devices and earthing rods and work with modern infrastructure as well as professional tools. You can expect a thorough introduction to earthing and protective devices, targeted further development, and a motivated, collegial team. Your work ensures that colleagues can work safely on the railway infrastructure every day. Benefits such as a free GA travelcard, discounted travel abroad – also for the family – can be found on our website under Benefits.
What you can achieve.
- You independently take on the demanding maintenance, servicing, repair, and inspection of earthing rods, earthing sets, voltage testers, and other safety-relevant operating equipment.
- You check the function, carry out safety inspections according to regulations, and initiate appropriate corrective measures in case of faults to keep the equipment operational.
- By documenting all work, test results, and technical findings in the relevant systems, you ensure traceability and support the team with instructions, training, and active knowledge transfer.
- You take responsibility for quality and safety and ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- You actively drive the further development of the specialist area and create and optimise processes, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- If necessary, you support other areas of the Regional Railway Technology Centre and flexibly contribute your technical know-how.
What you bring with you.
- Team-oriented work is important to you, and you are committed to constructive collaboration across departmental boundaries.
- With your independent, reliable, and structured way of working, you take responsibility and consistently pay attention to safety and quality.
- You are characterised by a strong technical understanding as well as enjoyment of precise, careful, and quality-conscious work.
- You have completed a vocational apprenticeship in a craft or mechanical field or have several years of experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical devices, motor equipment, machines, two-wheelers, or cars. Experience in the maintenance, testing, or repair of operating equipment is an advantage, and knowledge in the electrical field is welcome.
- You have good user knowledge of Microsoft 365, ideally complemented by experience with SAP or another ERP system.
- You have at least B2 level proficiency in German, both spoken and written.
