About the job

You will work in a specialised teaching class for cycle 3, which is assigned to you in accordance with Alter École’s mission. This enhanced class is located in the premises of Alter École in Tavannes and accommodates between 4 and 5 pupils requiring intensive support. The pupils in this class notably present autism spectrum disorders, sometimes accompanied by challenging behaviours; they need tailored support and an individual spatial organisation.

You can rely on the presence of a teaching assistant during the pupils’ attendance times. A pair of teachers cover the 31 weekly periods of the class (4 periods are related to meal times and without the presence of teachers). You will work from Monday to Thursday.

In collaboration with the teaching team, you plan and prepare your lessons referring to the PER and the individualised project of each pupil. You create favourable learning conditions adapted to our pupils. You encourage and supervise interactions between pupils and promote their autonomy.

Profile sought

• Master’s degree in specialised teaching or remedial pedagogy
• or
• Teaching diploma with experience in the specialised field
• or
• Bachelor HES in social education with experience in specialised school settings and availability to undertake a Master’s in specialised teaching
• Experience in supporting pupils with special needs
• Flexibility regarding the pupils taken care of
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and institutional teams

Start date: 1 November 2026 or by agreement
Duration of contract: indefinite (permanent contract)
