Are you interested in working with people suffering from addiction? Then you are exactly right with us on the addiction-specific acute ward U2, at the Centre for Addiction Disorders (ZAE), Clinic for Adults (UPKE). The ward is aimed at people with problems dealing with any psychotropic substances such as cocaine, heroin, alcohol, GHB and others. Depending on the goal, we offer qualified withdrawal treatment or reduction of consumption, stabilisation of mental or physical health and support with social problems. The individuality of the patients is respected and their personal responsibility is promoted.

What to expect
- We work resource-oriented and maintain a modern and person-centred approach with people suffering from addiction
- An exciting field of work with daily challenges
- A lively, interdisciplinary team that meets those affected at eye level and works according to the latest professional standards
- Your tasks include conducting withdrawals from various substances such as alcohol, cocaine and GHB, dispensing medical heroin, wound care and much more
- As a key contact person, you are the main contact for patients from admission to discharge. You conduct addiction-specific conversations, set goals together with those affected in the interdisciplinary team and look for the best possible solutions
- Intensive collaboration with a variety of external agencies
- If you enjoy vocational training, there is the possibility to accompany our students and trainees in the role of vocational training supervisor
What distinguishes you
- Diploma as a nurse HF/FH. For foreign nursing diplomas, SRK registration is a prerequisite. The costs are covered by UPK
- You are curious, flexible and ideally have experience in acute psychiatry or addiction work
- You are open to people with an addiction disorder, have an addiction-accepting attitude and can accept substance use as part of the illness
- You bring a high degree of independence and responsibility, are sociable and resilient even in emergency situations
- And you are willing to support our 24-hour operation in various shifts
