As an Enterprise IT Architect, you develop solutions that lay the foundation for a modern IT landscape and drive its further development. You take responsibility for implementing innovative architectures and ensure that our systems remain powerful and future-proof. With your technical understanding and conceptual strength, you move PostFinance sustainably.

What you can achieve

• You define target architectures, architectural principles and engineering guardrails for modern software development, including cloud-native architectures, AI engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, automation as well as functional and non-functional requirements
• You help shape and further develop AI governance and architectural guidelines to ensure the responsible use of artificial intelligence at PostFinance
• You define guardrails, standards and best practices for the development, integration and deployment of AI solutions as well as AI-supported development tools throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• You advise and support architecture, development and platform teams in adopting modern software engineering practices, AI-supported development methods and cross-technology solution architectures
• You identify, evaluate and establish new technologies, methods and trends in software development, platforms, automation and artificial intelligence and derive recommendations for action for PostFinance

What you bring with you

• Tertiary education or further training (FH or university) in computer science
• Several years of experience as an IT Enterprise, Lead or Principal Architect with a focus on software architecture as well as on defining and further developing modern architectural paradigms such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, event-driven architectures, API-first, cloud-native and container platforms
• Solid experience in the entire software development lifecycle as well as in defining and introducing software engineering standards, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering
• Practical experience in AI-supported software development as well as in further developing and implementing AI governance, architectural principles, standards and compliance requirements and their implementation in projects and teams
• Experience in creating target architectures, reference architectures, technology standards and architectural decisions at the enterprise level
• Strong communication and moderation skills as well as experience in regulated environments, ideally in the financial sector
• Very good German and English skills

This sends a clear signal for pay equality: equivalent work is remunerated within the same framework and fairly determined according to PostFinance’s salary system.
For this position, the annual salary for a 100% workload is between CHF 140,000 and 159,000. The exact salary depends on your profile and experience and may be slightly below or above this range.
