Commodities / Categories Buyer

As part of a replacement within our purchasing teams, we are recruiting a Commodities / Categories Buyer.

You play a key role in the company’s performance by managing the purchasing strategy for one or more product or service categories, while securing supplies and developing sustainable supplier partnerships.

Reporting to the Supply Chain function, you are responsible for managing and optimising the entire purchasing cycle for the commodities under your charge.

You directly contribute to the company’s competitiveness by balancing economic requirements, product quality, deadline compliance, and environmental and ethical standards.

• Strong skills in negotiation, cost analysis and contract management
• Mastery of supplier performance management and purchasing KPIs
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable with technical and industrial environments
• Analytical mindset, rigour, autonomy and sense of priorities
• Higher education in purchasing, supply chain, engineering or equivalent field
• Proven experience in a purchasing role, ideally with commodities or industrial categories
• Experience in an industrial environment is an asset (automotive industry is a plus)
