The Hotel Odelya is located in the heart of Basel and is surrounded by a charming garden park as a city hotel. It offers upscale 3-star comfort in a historic building with 73 rooms, various seminar rooms, as well as a new building with the Ayledo restaurant and halls. We offer our business and private guests tradition and sustainability, tranquility amidst urban dynamics, and warm hospitality. The Hotel Odelya is owned by the non-profit Basler Mission Foundation, which thinks long-term and is currently renovating the hotel rooms.

From spring 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a strong and innovative leader as

Director (100%)

Your tasks:

• Overall management of the operation with around 30 employees in the areas of hotel and gastronomy, focusing on seminars and banquets

• Further development of our positioning as a city hotel in the park with commercial responsibility

• Ensuring high guest satisfaction and representing the hotel externally and towards local institutions

• Leadership and development of our motivated team

• Collaboration with the board of directors on strategic and financial matters

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in hospitality or tourism

• Proven successful leadership experience in hospitality

• Strong guest orientation, high social competence, and a polished, confident appearance

• Financial experience (budgeting and reporting or controlling) and competence in handling relevant hotel software

• Professional oral and written communication skills (D/E)
