About the job
The Witschi Group is a family business in its third generation based in Langenthal. With the goal "Building living space," we are committed daily to high-quality and sustainable construction projects. With around 120 employees, we operate in the areas of building construction and modernisation, civil and road construction, floors and coverings, as well as transport – dedicated, professional, and firmly anchored in the Oberaargau region.
Due to a succession arrangement, we are looking for a clerk (m/f) for central purchasing from 1 January 2027 or by agreement.
Your tasks:
– Responsibility for central purchasing
– Obtaining, comparing, and evaluating offers
– Negotiating prices, discounts, and delivery conditions with suppliers
– Building and maintaining sustainable supplier relationships
– Identifying and utilising saving potentials as well as optimising purchasing conditions
– Supporting operational areas with procurement questions
– Monitoring delivery dates and clarifying deviations
– Participating in the further development and optimisation of purchasing processes
– Close cooperation with site managers, calculation, and other internal departments
– Purchasing work clothing and organising the clothing shop
Your profile:
– Completed commercial apprenticeship or similar
– Professional experience in the main construction trade
– Understanding of building materials, suppliers, and procurement processes
– Negotiation skills and a good sense for market-appropriate prices and economical solutions
– Enjoyment in contact and collaboration with suppliers and internal contacts
– Independent, structured, and reliable working style
– Good organisational skills and entrepreneurial thinking
– Confident handling of common MS Office applications
– Team spirit and reliability
– Enjoy working in a family business
