PH Zurich actively shapes education, school, and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The theoretical and methodological advancement of the subject discourse is a central concern of the research group «Didactics of Movement and Sports». It deals with the conditions, processes, and effects of sports, both in school and outside the school context.
Within the framework of the SNSF-funded project TRANSPOSITION.ch – «Transferability of didactic teaching-learning materials based on the concept of «ingénierie didactique» in movement and sports teaching »,which is carried out in cooperation with the University of Geneva, University of Fribourg, and SUPSI Ticino, a position as a PhD candidate is to be filled at PHZH.
The research project TRANSPOSITION.ch aims to evaluate under which conditions the learning opportunities of students change during the implementation of teaching-learning materials developed in a previous project (PROJEPS) in the cantons of Geneva, Zurich, Fribourg, and Ticino.
The position holder will participate in the collection and analysis of data for the TRANSPOSITION.ch project and develop a personal dissertation project on a specific aspect of the project. He or she will pursue the doctoral project at PH Zurich and enroll and graduate at the University of Geneva. The salary is based on the SNSF salary guidelines for doctoral candidates.
- Conducting a doctoral project
- Collaborating in the design, implementation, and evaluation of empirical surveys
- National and international scientific presentations and publication activities
- Master's degree in Movement and Sports Sciences, Educational Sciences, Sports Didactics, or an equivalent recognized degree
- Experience with and interest in academic research work
- Independence in carrying out a demanding research project
- Outgoing personality and ability to integrate into an intercantonal and multilingual research team
- Very good German skills as well as good French skills
- Availability and motivation to travel within Switzerland
- Teaching experience and knowledge of Italian are an advantage
