About the job
Securing Nachwuchs for care and support
Being able to count on enough staff for care and support in the future remains a major challenge for many institutions in the healthcare sector. Spitex Nidwalden is taking precautions. With our commitment to training, we are taking responsibility for the future.
Practical training is important to us. Therefore, our trainees also visit you. To ensure quality, they are regularly accompanied by an experienced specialist.
Training
Spitex Nidwalden trains young people as well as those with more life experience in three professions. Our training always includes learning on site – that is, at your home. Specially trained trainers or experienced colleagues accompany the trainees during their visits. This ensures quality as well as practical and diverse training.
At the same time, we want to ensure that we can continue to count on enough and well-qualified staff in the future. Thank you for enabling us with your openness to offer motivated trainees interesting training places.
Our training professions
Health specialist EFZ
This basic training in care is one of the most popular professions in Switzerland. The training lasts three years. Interested persons aged 22 and over with nursing knowledge can undergo a shortened, modular training.
Health care specialist HF
The former "nurse training" is now at the level of "higher technical school". Entry requires a federal vocational certificate (EFZ) in another profession or the Matura. The training lasts three years; with a qualification as a health specialist EFZ, a shortened training is possible.
Housekeeping specialist
This two-year, modular training is offered by Spitex Nidwalden exclusively to adults. It covers all areas of housekeeping.
